Oh I disagree
Microsoft has no interest in destroying the PC gaming market. Just think what would happen if they did. What reason would I have to stick with Windows if PC games disappeared. I'd have no reason to. I'd use Linux as it's cheaper and works better once games out of the picture. Microsoft has very good reason to boost PC games. It keep us gamer buying Windows and Direct X.

Also the PC gaming platform is what runs the bleeding edge products that eventually get picked to be in the next generation of consoles. The games also push the boundaries for what's new in games and these set the end up being the games for consoles. What would appear in the consoles with out PC games coming first?
