- It all about controlling the medium. If there is any sabotage going on, it's to keep games from being able to play on Linux or Mac. By playing both sides of the fence, both PC and Console, they gain more say with developers and publishers, and can incorporate more compatibility between systems. They're also saying "We really don't care if you use a PC or console for gaming, as long as it's from Microsoft"
