What now?
'Well worth the investment... trained properly on compatible systems' -- As who's standards? Compatible systems? All of the computers are exactly the same, and therefore, there is no 'incompatibility', at least with the hardware. As for documents and the like, as most people us MSOffice, you have OpenOffice, which completely supports all of MSOffice's formats, as well as its own, which are superior (Lower file size and more secure). That's more then MSOffice can say, for they don't even support the ODT (Open Document Text) format that even European governments use. OpenOffice also comes with even more programs then MSOffice (At least '03, I haven't seen much of '07 [Not like I'd really want to *shiver*])

'Low cost for license fees' -- How much are you refunded when you decline the Windows license agreement? Isn't it close to $200? That's as much as the computer!

'Learn much more from it' -- How is this even said? I can't learn as much from a Linux computer as I can a Windows computer? Go into your terminal and tell me how to write a script that will set a music program to run at 6:00 AM and set the volume to maximum. Something tells me that it'd be a little difficult to do.

'Linux is not what people want and it's not just me, it's millions of others who have rejected it as well' -- Um..., how many people around you have actually tried running a simple Ubuntu installation? How many people do you know who even tried Linux? My guess is that even you haven't bothered with it. Millions of users can't reject something that they have never tried, simple fact. If every computer you bought came pre-installed with Linux on it, everyone would point and laugh at Windows and it would have no userbase; but, since Windows controls the market with a strong monopoly, everyone uses it because they don't know any better. When computers shipped with Apple OS's, they used Apple. When computers shipped with Windows, they used Windows.

'It's just not functional.' -- Of all the things you have said, this is the most incorrect and bigoted comment I could find. I'm happy to say that I am typing this on a Ubuntu 7.06 installation in Opera 9.25 (Bet you've never heard of that glorious browser either), and before you ask, Ubuntu is a Linux distribution. The friend of mine that got me into Linux runs his own home-brewed version of Gentoo, and would post here in his browser of choice: Konqueror.

Linux isn't functional... yeah... right...
