U.K.'s Elonex readies low-cost Linux laptop
When are these companies going to learn that linux does not sell? It is not an operating that is suited for the desktop, much less for anything else for that matter. I'd prefer to have a system that is compatible with the rest of the world where I can share documents and applications with others to get business done. A laptop that will teach what the rest of the world is using for when these kids graduate and go to college (or uni or whatever they call it over there). You know, this sounds like a form of oppresion from the U.K. government. I sincerely hope the students rise up above this and stop the suppression and demand compatible laptops.
