As you see more cores, I think you'll see more of this
As they try to fit more and more cores onto a microchip, expect some of them to become specialized. You might have some general purpose cores, some graphics cores, some physics cores, etc.

I think the vast majority of cores will remain general purpose, though. I don't think it would be good to fill the whole processor with specialized cores.
