Trying to create a market
This is one of those clever new devices that don't fill a particular
consumer need, but instead try to create a niche for themselves.
This is a tough row to hoe, and there have been many failures
along the way (anyone remember MS SPOT watches--whatever
happened to them?). If the new device is revolutionary and
compelling, it will succeed.

I don't see that happening here. If people really wanted video on
the go like this, wouldn't they be buying portable DVD players
already? Don't most geeks who want this already have a laptop?
Clearly, there is no pressing consumer demand for such a
product, at least on a massive scale.
