I have a Toshiba free standing HD DVD player and a Pioneer Blu-Ray drive in my PC. Both are hooked up to my Sharp Aquos. If Blu-Ray wins, so-be-it. I happen to like the HD system better. It seems to be less burdened by DRM.

At worst my Tosiba turns out to be an excellent upscaling DVD player. It was cheap, I got a ton of movies with it and it just works without drama.
