I don't care who wins at this point (though I'm pulling for Blu Ray since I heard about this technology back in 2001 or 2002 and couldn't wait for it to come out) since I can't afford a HD television, let alone a HD dvd player (either blue ray or HDDVD). Not everyone of us needs to have the "latest and greatest" right now.
Until the industry says that my good ol' 37 inch tv (by Sony, no less) won't work because its "obsolete" and that I can no longer use my good ol' dvd player (again, a Sony) because they no longer make plain ol' dvds, I won't even bother until a format is settled upon.
I'd love to have HD everything but I can't see spending more than a couple hundred $$ on any piece of technology that will be "obsolete" two years after I bought it. Until a Flat Panel LCD HD tv (over 36 inches) can be had for under $400 and a Blue Ray (or HDDVD, whoever wins) player can be had for under $200, I ain't going to bother just yet.
