i care who wins
i've had a hdtv for about 2 years now. at first there wasn't a lot of hi-def stuff out there but now there is. it is spectacular. about this war. i watched what was going on for quite awhile.as i watched i have picked up on some important facts you don't hear a lot about. one is starting to cause quite a commotion if you adopted a blu-ray early on. there was no mention from blu-ray that there hardware standards were incomplete but they are. they are still incomplete in that a lot of the old players will not do picture in picture feature or that they can't connect to the internet. blu-ray just recently introduced 1.1 profile players in oct 07. these old 1.0 players are now obselete. sony thinks this is ok??? they spent probably $500 or more for a player that is now outdated. the hd-dvd has been full featured from the start. now hd-dvd start at a little under $130. at amazon and these are nice units. you say i have a ps3 so i'm ok. well sony did'nt tell you that the ps3 can't decode dts-hd master audio. so they did it to a whole bunch of other consumers. i for one am sick to death of this kind of business. can you guess which way my money is going? well let's just say i know better than to buy blu-ray.
