Video Slideshow
BillKeyLargo has a good idea. A rotating slideshow that displays while no show is watched is a good idea. Particularly for entertaining, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings; this LCD could display a series of images while people mingle.

In response to another poster, while I do not think the technology is particularly innovative, the scale and scope is different. The user is no longer married to sitting in front of a computer irregardless of the size of the monitor. The LCD display becomes more of a large appliance with a broadband connection.

Throw in DragonSpeak so that the unit can be operated by voice commands, too.
