I hope AT&T gets better
They are penetrating the market with U-Verse (it's actually a separate entity from the DSL AT&T), and I know there are some obstacles to tackle.
They do offer an attractive package: up to 3 tuner boxes, one of which (in my case) was a 4-tuner DVR, ability to change what you want to record over the internet (like Tivo), considerably nice GUI (I used to have Cox at one point and their interface was clunky, slow, and ugly). The tech who installed it also said they would eventually be moving to wireless TV, meaning that the tuner boxes would be able to receive the TV signal wirelessly through the gateway. That's a nice feature when you want to place a TV and there is no coax jack to be found.

So, it was definitely disappointing that I just felt taken left and right customer-servicewise.

Maybe by the time they go to your area they will ahve worked out some kinks and your experience will be more pleasant.
