- Hitachi HDD are the worst in the world

I have owned many brands of HDD from cheap to high server quality drives.
Hitachi (aka IBM) hard drives are the worst of all (even worst than Maxtor). If you get 2 years out of them it is a miracle, a fluke of nature. Not only do they have a short lifespan, with normal usage you end up with bad sectors after just a few months.
