- Re: Lenovo has eyes on consumer PC market

Good luck...I have 10 one year old ThinkCentres on my network, and they are pieces of junk. One by one, they are having the onboard network card "disappear" from Device Manager on a regular basis. The card somehow uninstalls itself, and the computer loses network connectivity. An admin usually has to login to the machine, do a ?Scan for hardware changes? in order to get the card reinstalled. But that does not always work, so we are installing aftermarket NICs in all of them in the hopes that these will stay installed, because dealing with their onsite repair is useless. Otherwise they are being pulled from the network, and made into expensive doorstops.
The IT manager before me was responsible for ordering these nightmares?I will not be ordering any more?ever. - Posted by: IT_Guy_z Posted on: 01/03/08 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
