LCD/Plasma is great for those who don't care for deepest blacks.
Me? DLP and LCoS only!!!

Even though I don't have one, Sony SXRD KDS-xxA3000 series of TVs (50, 55, and 60) has the best quality picture, when caliborated correctly!!

LCDs and Plasma, even though it had been advanced in years, just don't cut it, especially for black levels. I'm sorry I won't buy it, but how long can we wait until there's 60" OLED HDTVs? Years? Too long for me. I'm planning to buy a new HDTV next month, so those xxA3000 series of HDTVs have got to be available at Circuit City, since I have a gift card bought for Christmas from my mom, and I do plan on selling my 32" HDTV to my mom, as my brother wants it for Christmas.

For those who are glad that RPTVs are going away, enjoy your LCD or Plasma, as I assume that most of those who have an LCD monitor doesn't really care about deepest blacks, especially when it comes to playing video games where the parts of the level/scene are very dark, as the director intended.

I don't mean to whine, but Sony has made a blind move in their part for discontinuing RPTVs. Those who want to get a 70" HDTV, expect to pay about +$20,000, as LCDs are a lot more expensive than RPTVs.
