What about manufacturers?
I understand what you're saying about the content providers--
and I do think the market will decide that it doesn't want music
and movies that prevent you from using them. The DRM will
either be immediately cracked, or will be a commercial failure
over time.

But you have also declared that it will be impossible to buy any
piece of electronic equipment that doesn't have mandated copy
control mechanisms built in. Do you really believe that stifling
innovation like this is a good way to go?
