Look at the players involved, and note that the term "Windows" just didn't come up. In the context of this article, Windows is just another micro-partitioned OS.

Talking about Windows here would be like talking about replacing a fleet of 767s with Canadair RegionalJets. It's just a whole different league, where MS really doesn't (yet) understand how to play. They've always had contempt for the sales-synergy of hardware+software, and that's why they don't really understand IBM's Linux strategy.
