Too Much of Something
Explain to me how the economy "went south" after Ronald Reagan was elected. In fact, his administration turned around what had been a stifled economy under a Democrat, (remember double-digit inflation and 18% mortgage interest rates? I do.) and sparked the longest and largest single economic growth spurt in U.S. history, even helping Clinton (along with the false growth of the dot com bubble).

Then, after the bubble burst, and Bush inherited an economy in decline, followed by 9/11, and the stock market scandals (which grew and festered under the Clinton administration)he has still managed to turn the economy around.

How? By exercising the common sense TRUTH that the people know how to spend their money better than the government, and that if private citizens have the money to spend they will grow the economy.

I'm sorry, but 55% of my gross income going to taxes is a bit much. I work too hard for it.
