And those applications don't END at someone's real phone either. IF VoIP was strickly internet phone to internet phone, I would totally agree. But most of them don't. They tie into the real phone system. Ergo INTERSTATE CALLING.

I'm ALL FOR REGULATING telecommunications. I wasn't until my mom got a $32 bill for a 30sec call! Yes, it was totally legal and nothing the FCC or PUC can do. Even WITH all the regulation we already have, the phone companies can still gouge a poor old woman on Social Security. She can barely buy her medications, but yet they can still charge outrageous phone service.

I say regulate VoIP BEFORE they start charging $1 a sec for a call.
