Of Course
Here is another example of an out-dated industry that is using federal regulation to put a choke-hold on useful new techologies in the name of proventing thier own extinction. The telephone companies should be looking at this as an oppurtunity to be a part of the future of telecommunications. Think about it. All the internet traffic goes over high speed data lines. Therefore if they would lay the ground-work for high speed data lines now thier future would be secure as they could be the ones to provide the backbone for all this data traffic. Instead they are dragging thier feet to implement last years technologies. Meanwhile other countries like Japan are already light-years ahead of us in thier high speed data infrasturcture.

Wake up phone companies! Some day the federal government won't be able to protect you. They have given you a marketplace free from competition and you have done squat with it.
