That was actually a response to your post about the Blade Server.
Blade Servers (from IBM, etc.) are mainframe computers! I know, as I have worked with them in the past. The mainframe is doing fine in the market, though ithas been scaled down a bit to meet a more cost concious consumer (businesses).

For what it is worth, OS/390 is justone mainframe OS, there is also Solaris (as on the 10000, 12000 and 15000 series of Sun mainframes). HP also still sells mainframes.

The blade servers are a smaller form of the mainframe (devices like it were labled as mianframes back in 2001 and 2002). Blades allow for scaling n smaller spaces (racks) while other mainframes (HP, SUN, SGI, IBM) also allow for grouping of CPU's to a given domain (Sun's termenology) or LPAR (IBM) or VPAR (HP).
