Why do you think the iMac was a failure?
Sorry, but as a piece of hardware, this thing sold like
gangbusters, at least initially. Apple did a poor job, over time,
of updating the machine, so it lagged behind many of Apple's
other offerings, which certainly hurt sales. If you want to talk
about a failed form factor, we should discuss tablet PCs.

Now, that said, the joy of this design is the tiny footprint it takes
up as far as deskspace, which for me, since I tend towards
clutter, is wonderful.
