Do people simply prefer a "box"?
In the past two decades I've seen a lot of attempts in the industry to change the form factor of the PC. Of all of them the only ones I've seen work is the lap top and I believe it's success is due to the fact some folks must take their work with them. Even then its a sure bet there is a desk top at home or at the office to do "real work". Yes there are those rare people that do everyting on their laptop but they are few and far between.

The truth seems to be that the vast majority still prefer the "box" form factor over just about anything else...
