The Linux juggernaut
One after the other large tech corporations are falling into line with Linux. They are coming to the conclusion that they are better off sharing IP than they are leaving it concetrated in the hands of one third party company. In the process, that company is being increasingly bypassed by one sector after another. And all that are left in the wake are the MS groupies who continue to live in a fantasy world and post nonsense to forums like this. Even MS itself takes Linux seriously these days. Those who don't are just flouting their ignorance and foolishness for all the world to see. If they can't read the tech news straight, one would at least think that they could read the stock charts, but even the financial data eludes the Redmond worshipers. The obvious fact is that it is a two horse race. MS is up against a worldwide multifacited Linux consortium of unprecidented scale. The only thing that is sustaining MS right now is their huge embedded base, but that is being quickly eroded. Like a cornered rat they are struggling to hang on. Shared source and now open source. Steep discounts. And many other moves they swore they'd never make. The future is open.
