Excuse me, but Linux has already been invented.
Sony and others don't need to reinvent anything. They take the code for the standard kernel that has already been invented, and patch it for the special needs of small devices with not very much memmory.

And, you were one of those saying that they used stolen code to make Linux, now you are saying they invented it all from scratch.

Well, not that your post was serious. . . . .
