Only for those who are interested in Quality
One of the key issues all you people are missing is quality. The MP3 compression algorithm is an algorithm with a greater loss ration than ATRAC. Don't take my word for it ... do your research on the web there is enough information out there.

Before comitting to a particular player I did my research on line. This was 2 years ago. I finally opted for a minidisc because given the wide spectrum of music I listened to I found ATRAC to have a much better quality than MP3. Have you ever tried listening to Classical music at 128Kb on MP3 ... all the extreme frequency ranges are distorted with MP3. For POP&Rock music MP3 is probably fine considering the frequency ranges that most of the music generates, but not for Jazz, Classical or even Trance.

Before you start ... there is no point in compressing at above 128Kb because that would beat the objective of having an MP3 player.

Before making any comments do you research first.
