a spartans spit what tv can be recorded to the disk. When there is a compatible medium wich equals or exceeds that of video tape,dv tape usable within most consumer based movie cameras , then will there be a comparison to utilizations.

Portable cameras have a seriously low recording time span. As most cameras advertised,do not even include the maximum recording time in the specifications where they are sold.

Although Panasonic will find that the medium itself is used for information. I cannot concede that information used in all on the part of wishing toward what this specific product has on the cabinet for consumers.

The portability of the medium, along with the 'nominal storage capabilities it specifies (30 vcr tapes for example) is only a single aspect in the metrics of 'storage space.

For now,I believe simply equaling the capacity of a single DV tape would be welcome in comparison of 'recording time in any adequate scale. Since what most these cameras do,is simply downsize the picture to total the digital copacity for a camera.

If your going to do digital movies, you want the whole screen, and you want at least a couple hours to go with it in storage copacity, and processing power.

A web spec, mpeg may not be what you want actually. Portability, processing power, and screen display. Its all there. It aint on tv. It aint in present day cameras either.

-just talking.
