After the rebate their device is still $99 so the net effect is you are paying $99 to upgrade from a 15GB MP3 player to a 15GB MP3 player. That's not much of an upgrade. All you are really upgrading is two ounces, the Dell is 7.61 oz, the iPod is 5.6 oz.

Plus, the Apple is an ergonomic masterpiece. I'm not so sure about the Dell. The iPod is the only piece of Apple hardware I have ever purchased and I am very happy with it.
