...the early days of television, although not that bad were difficult for those not technologically inclined.
1st, unless you were near a transmitter, you had to install an antenna on your roof. And then it had to be pointed the correct direction for optimal reception. Except that the correct direction for one station was not the correct direction for another.
Then there was the TV itself. Have you never seen a television more than 25 years old? They had litterally a dozen different adjustments, like "vertical hold" and "horizontal hold". And tweaking one adjustment could very likely invalidate the adjustment you just made on another knob. And don't get me started on color alignment! That had best be correct, or else the "General Lee" might look pink at the top of the screen, but green at the bottom.
Clearly, televisions today are what we might consider a "mature" consumer product compared to PCs. Except, wait!
