HP/Compaq service is bad too

I find it hard to believe that Dell (or anybody) could provide worse service than HP/Compaq. I watched it degrade over a 3 year period from excellent to terrible. When I first got my Compaq notebook, the service was terrific. In the end, I was shuffled from one person to another, from Bangalore to New Deli for serveral hours to find out what had become of my machine. The machine recently started suffering from heat problems, so I am typing this from a new Toshiba notebook (we'll see how that goes).
