Yep they did. This is not a surprise to me at all. Companies like Toshiba know that just because they invent something, doesn't mean that it will change the world.

They like competition and will compete with whom ever they can, in the markets they choose.

Can you imagine if Toshiba got into the game console market?

Can you believe the original playstation was supposed to be a Nintendo CD, but Nintendo and Sony could not agree on things?
