The biggest question,
what frequencies will this equipment support and how much will
those freqs cost?

Rural areas (like where I live in Wyoming) are ripe for this
technology as 2.4 & 5.7 GHz are limited by power when it comes
to range.

As for Intel, all they've done is to say they support it. Same goes
for 802.11b, they didn't do any of the design work. It's like the
centrino, all they've done is to market it. 802.11b was available
long before they came to the table.
