Can Seagate steer hybrid-drive market?

Yet another pointless gimick.

I was reading an article somewhere possibly on zdnet that compared the Seagate Momentus drive in question with a 32 gig SSD and a 7200 rpm standard HDD, the Momentus 5400 benchmarks were mediocre at best and it was even resoundingly hammered by the run of the mill 7200 rpm HDD. So performance wise it fails to impress and power consumption wise I just can't see 256mb of flash reducing power demands by 50%. Personally I've had 2 Seagate drives the last being a 500 gig, and both of them have failed and now make clunking and random spin-up noises causing the system to freeze while they sort themselves out, and even when they were brand new they failed to meet the specs that Seagate stated, so if your looking for a cheap unreliable drive that will lose your data and cause you major headaches then a Seagate is just the drive for you.
