this makes me wonder

"We didn't enforce these patents sooner because we didn?t want to slow down development in the market. But now that the technologies are firmly established, we feel we must protect our intellectual property."

This sounds like a shakedown to me. I wonder if there is any documentation anywhere that states something to the effect: We wont charge you until you make money for us and implement it in a workable form cause we cant do it. That sounds like a racket if I ever did here one.
They need to update the patent law so that you can't do this. Enforcement from the enception of the patent. Much like trademarks....
I patented h2o but didnt enforce my patent until you got thirstier.. You had a sip but to live you must pay me!!!
