COMDEX Canada no better
I started going to the ComDex Canada show in 1999. That year it took in the entire convention centre, and Microsoft took up an area of probably 60,000 square feet (them and all their "partners"). And Novell had a huge display as well, even hosting a GroupWise email connectivity display for people who used it. The next year MS had a small pavilion, and things were really spread out. I skipped a year, I think, then went back. They were using less than half the floorspace from two years previous, and had virtually no big companies there. Lots of crappy little companies selling hard drive cables and mouse pads. It got "postponed" from 2003 in Toronto to early 2004... and in early 2004 they decided to can the whole show. I doubt I'll see it in Toronto in 2005 unless these new managing monkeys can actually get something going.
