Gee they were saying the same things when Zilog (anybody heard of them) came out with the Z8 and then the Z80. They outperformed the Intel chips at the but they were left behind.

Intel needs this once in a while to keep them on the right track. This is what they did to Zilog, went a different direction. Since they are the big kid on the block their way is the standard way.
