AMD has lost it's window of opportunity
Over a year after their much ballyhoo'd AMD64 announcement, it's clearly been Athlon replacements in 32b environments. This proves intel is right. There was no need last year nor this year nor next year for desktop 64 bits. In any case, AMD's window of opportunity is hereby closed.

This further proves AMD is just a chip company and a chip does not make a platform. The future will be like the last 20 years : Intel will develop the slow migration to 64bits and AMD, as usual, will ride that development.
