AMD advances its dual-core plans

Huh?: What planet are you from? If you would make even a BRIEF scan of some of the available comparisons between Intel and AMD processors out there, you'd realize just how sadly uniformed your post sounds.

Notice how the 1.8GHz AMD Opteron usually beats a 2.8GHz Intel Xeon and sometimes the 3.08GHz one. The floating-point page is particularly enlightening, as the AMD Opteron and the desktop AthlonXP both wipe the floor with all the Intel CPUs.

Here, a dual 2.2GHz AMD Opteron 248 system can more than hold its own against the dual Xeon system with a 39% clockspeed (3.06GHz) advantage!

To blabber on about how Intel processors "run circles" around AMD processors only exposes your ignorance on the topic for all the world to see.
