Dual processor CPU is nothing new
Intel kept ahead in the chip wars about 10 years ago with a package called the Pentium Pro. IIRC, it was a 200 mhz full Pentium processor and a Celeron 200 mhz processor in a Slot 1 package.

Motherboard manufacturers accomodated it with motherboards that would support up to 4 of these things, creating an 8 processor minicluster server.

Now we are back to a dual processor CPU to improve performance. I wonder when/if motherboard manufacturers will design the motherboards, and what the combination will cost the average desktop customer.
