Sorry, but I think you are going to find that the consumer simply will not have anything to do with RFID. I also see another HUGE problem.

Joe Average is working in inventory. He knows his job is going to be eliminated by RFID. Do you think there is any chance he will do his best to destroy/damage the tags? After all, a simple degaussing coil would wreck havoc with any tag within a few feet of the energized coil. Sort of like when so many used a magnet to destroy magnetic strips on employee badges. But in this case they are trying to save their jobs.

When you have something the consumer absolutely doesn't want, the employees absolutely don't want, and cost billions to implement, I think they are going to find it very difficult to use.
