- I already don't shop there because they are fascists
-
Surely the current theft-deterrent system is good enough as razors and shoes can be packaged with the current alarm sensor enclosed?
This is the same franchise that treats its employees like second rate dog-doo and treats the customers even worse as they have 1 security camera per 8 square feet of ceiling space. (the WM (Wal-Mart) closest to me has well over 100 cameras above the sales floor, that's insane and paranoid when you consider Target and other shops carry the same merchandise for the same price in most cases! Lowest-price, my foot...
One day I went in, did not take a basket because I thought I'd just get one item. I picked up a couple of things not on the 1-item list which were not easy to carry... I went to get the third and final item in aisle 6. I had put down the other two on the floor to adjust everything and relax my arm, and re-picked up the third and then I heard over the PA in a rushed voice "Code 6 in Aisle 12", which was where I was at and nobody else was around (doing this at 3AM helps immensely). My coat was fully zipped at the time and I did not unzip it or make any motion that suggested I was trying to hide something. Just repositioning stuff and relaxing my arm for crying out loud. But they thought I was a freakin' shoplifter! (insert annoyed grunt here.)
Obviously I make a conscious habit of not shopping there (for any number of reasons), but when I go in the store I feel like a crook and I certainly am not. So forget 'em. If they want to be a bunch of anti-american fascists and consider every customer a criminal, they can rot in hades with Satan himself bathing the CEO's left leg in gasoline and lighting it on fire...)
While they're at it, they should make all WM employees wear hats with hidden cameras in them and have them walk around those people who look even remotely suspicious for complete and total coverage, fair'n'balanced style... - Posted by: HypnoToad Posted on: 11/07/03 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
