Microsoft format?
Neither Blu-ray or HD-DVD are Microsoft formats, Microsofts backing of HD-DVD was merely an attempt to put a spanner in the works of Blu-ray, Microsoft doesn't care who wins the format war as long as it goes on long enough to damage both formats and put consumers off buying into either of them, Microsofts format of choice is Digital Distribution via online services, a lengthy next gen disk format war can only be a good thing from there point of view.
