Depends on the price
If you can buy a product for say 30% of its retail value then really you don't need to worry about. If it dies a year from then you just buy another one.

Also those who couldn't afford the full priced unit often jump on these kind of deals. I bought my printer on sale just like this 2 years ago and the printer still works. When it breaks I'll toss it out and buy another one.
