It is a shame
that countries like China will get "last mile" technology before the United States. Seeing that I am locked in via my TELCO for DSL I would welcome an alternate such as described in the story. Satellite broadband is cost prohibitive and cable is not offered. Guess I best not gripe I could be stuck with dialup like my neighbor 1/2 mile down from me.

Maybe someone can enlighten me, what the heck happened to all the fibre optic that was laid here a few years back. Fiber was laid out here in the sticks but one would be very hard pressed to get any type of service through it? I read somewhere that only 30 or 40% of all new fiber is in use. Even in the city near me fibre was laid only a few businesses take advantage of the speed and simplicity.

Well back to my cave I go. I hear that nice medication lady coming near. Shhhh so is that mean guy in the white coat.
