True, it's not flammable, but it sure is one heck of a catalyst for certain incendiary or combustion type reactions. That's why street racers - legal and not-so-legal - have been using it for years as a horsepower booster. And also why, at the same time, people who don't know what they are doing have been blowing-up and/or melting-down car engines during drag races.
