IBM's advantage...
IBM's advantage unlike Apple's is that IBM can design Power to advantage their software and software to advantage Power. Yet, unlike Sun, they make the chip a common part at realistic retail prices. While this strategy won't bring down the Wintel hedgemony anytime soon, it is nevertheless an advantage.
