You hit it right there.
"Average User Doesn't Usually Buy Highend Machines"
They USED to!
8 years ago, they'd go into a computer store and do just that. The latest would be a P-120, and most would buy that. It was 20% faster than a P-100!
Now with 3.4GHz out, I see people are commonly buying 2.5s. Big difference! They are *begining* to realize that the Word, the Web, and E-mail don't need the latest & greatest.
