- I beg to differ
- CPU frequency is VERY important in determing speed. The faster the signal propagates through the circuitry the faster your instructions are processed, simple. I think it should be still based on that main factor; however, programmers need to be taught not to make bloated ware, but use small, fast, and efficient programming practices. I do however agree to your point that data, control, and addressing busses need to be improved upon as well.
