Sony pays millions to inventor in Walkman dispute

27 years?: Would the patent have expired by now.

Not to mention back before 1977 I had and a few tranistor radios with a belt clip. In 1997 I had a portable tape player that did the same. It didn't use standard cassettes how ever and you could record with it.

All Sony did from what I can see is added mini headphones to the devices that already existed and called it a Walkman.

Kind of silly if you ask me. Being able to patent how you carry your tape player, radio, cd player or mp3 player. But if they can patent how you swing why not how you carry your electronics.; Posted by: voska Posted on: 06/04/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
