You no longer get "two free months of service" with the $30 starter kit. So, all you get for your $30 is the hardware and activation. You're better off ordering at the Vonage site where you pay $30 for activation and $10 for shipping but get your second month of service for free (up to a $40 value). Looks like the author didn't do his homework.
