Clock speed is what critics/Intel are after for.
The way I see it, critics in here are more used to clock speeds because in today's market where there are Core 2 Duos and AMD Athlon64 X2 processors out there, they used to know that 3GHz is faster than 1.5GHz. But this is not quite, because I have an AMD Sempron64 3400+ running at 1GHz, which performs equavelant to Pentium 4 at 1.5GHz but I can't be sure; however, what I can say is my Sempron performs more work per clock cycle than Intel Pentium 4.

If you want to know how well my computer consumes, I'd say probably between 50-70 watts.
